here, Pittsburgh is pleased to present here & there, vol. I. This group show features twelve artists working in three different cities: Pittsburgh, Los Angeles and New York, and is the first in a series of exhibitions to place artists working in Pittsburgh alongside their peers across North America.

Albert Behar (b. 1991, Los Angeles, CA) received a bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from New York University. He has composed scores for Oscar shortlisted films, television networks and Fortune 500 companies. Behar has been commissioned by the Kronos Quartet and featured at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and Cité de la Musique. Behar lives and works in Providence, RI.

Margot Bird (b. 1982, Sioux City, IA) received her BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2006. She has exhibited her work at Sargent’s Daughters Gallery, New York; Harper’s, New York and Los Angeles; Hauser & Wirth, New York and Ladrón Galería, Mexico City. Bird lives and works in Western Massachusetts.

Molly Bounds (b. 1990, Lewisville, TX) received her BFA in Printmaking from Metropolitan State University, Denver. She has been included in exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver; RULE Gallery, Marfa and Denver; Pt. 2 Gallery, Oakland and Athen B. Gallery, Oakland. Bounds lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

Matthew Constant (b. 1996, Ames, IA) received his BFA from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh in 2018. He has exhibited his work at CHART Gallery, New York; Westmoreland Museum of American Art; 707 Gallery, Pittsburgh and Future Tenants, Pittsburgh. Constant lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA.

Jamie Earnest (b. 1994, Alabama) received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University. Earnest has exhibited her work at the Westmoreland Museum of Art, Greensburg; Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh; Brew House Association, Pittsburgh; Cindy Lisica Gallery, Houston and Equity Gallery, New York. Earnest lives and works in Pittsburgh.

Eric Dwight Hancock (b. 1982, Winter Haven, FL) received his MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008. He has exhibited his work at Nino Mier Gallery, Los Angeles; The Hole, New York; High Museum of Art, Atlanta; St. J Gallery, Los Angeles and Keystone Gallery, Los Angeles, among others. Hancock currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

Aaron Elvis Jupin (b. 1991, Fullerton, CA) received is BFA from Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles. He has exhibited his work at Makasiini Contemporary, Turku, Finland; Fisher Parrish, New York; Smart Objects, Los Angeles; Pt. 2 Gallery, Oakland and Fisk Gallery, Portland. Jupin lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

Wade Kramm (b. 1979, Pittsburgh, PA) completed his MFA in sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design. He has exhibited his work at Concept Art Gallery, Pittsburgh; Space 776, Brooklyn; the Sculpture Center, Cleveland; Piero Atchugarry Gallery, Pueblo Garzón, Uruguay and Sammer Gallery, New York. Kramm lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA.

Dana Liebermann (b. 1982, Palo Alto, CA) received her BFA from New York University in 2005. Her work has been shown in New York, Washington D.C., Oxford, England and Pittsburgh.  Dana is a two-time recipient of the Kennedy Center’s VSA emerging artists program, a grant awarded nationally to artists with disabilities. She has exhibited at the Smithsonian Institute on three occasions and recently completed an installation at the Pittsburgh International Airport. Liebermann lives and works in San Francisco, CA.

Sarah Smiley (b. 1990, Minneapolis, MN) received her BFA in painting from Rhode Island School of Design in 2012. She has exhibited her work at Lowell, Portland; 212 Mandarin Plaza, Los Angeles; Melanie Flood Projects, Portland; Galerie Hideout, Los Angeles and Piazza Cenci 56, Rome. Smiley lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

Hannah Stahl (b. 1989, Jamestown, RI) received her MFA at The New York Academy of Art, NY in 2015. Stahl has exhibited at Flowers Gallery, New York; Mom’s Gallery, New York; Atelier Newport, NY and in collaboration with the Lost Retainer Collective, Brooklyn. Stahl currently lives and works in Providence, RI.

Crys Yin (b. 1981, San Diego, CA) completed her BFA at California State University, Long Beach. She has exhibited at A.I.R. Gallery, New York; FLAG Art Foundation, New York; Fisher Parrish Gallery, New York; Garis & Hahn, Los Angeles and LVL3, Chicago. Yin lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
